Degree or diploma: which route is right for you?

Short answer

A Career Degree takes 3 years and gives you a university qualification and time for internships. An Industry Ready Diploma Course takes 3 to 6 months and prepares you for a specific job sooner.

Short answer

Choose a Career Degree if you want a long-term profession and a university qualification. Choose an Industry Ready Diploma Course if you want job-ready skills quickly, or you already hold a degree.

How they differ

  • Duration: degrees run 3 years; diplomas run 3 to 6 months.
  • Eligibility: degrees are open after 12th; diplomas are open after a degree, with an age limit.
  • Outcome: a degree builds a broad foundation; a diploma trains for a specific role.
